One year later...I miss my brother

It's hard to believe it's been a year since Alan passed away. Here are two links for the occasion:

from my music blog, details of the last track I recorded with Alan:

Tribute song/page which now front-ends the old Whiskey Biscuit web site:

Rest in peace, brother, friend and music partner for 35 years.

  1. Man, this is so beautiful and so moving. I have tears in my eyes as I write this. So much naked emotion in that vocal. You capture so many elements of Al's personality and story here and do it with music that so totally echoes his era. I mean, I can hear Elton John and Billy Joel and Lennon and Styx and 10cc, just to name a few. Even Tom Waits, who is probably very Al-like, if you know what I mean. Man, I will never forget Alan's laugh. Or I should say his laughs. He would do the wildest most hyena-like laugh when he was truly tickled. But he also had that easy chuckle that would come out all the time when he was relaxed. He had so many gifts.
